Carbon Fibre Infrared Lamps

It consists of a Carbon filament in a clear quartz tube.

The carbon filemant offers short reaction times and so the heat up and cool down times are low. The reaction times are comparable to those of short wave lamps.

Also, the power density of these carbon filament lamps is high enabling higher product temperatures to be achieved.

These fall in the medium wave infrared range which is readily absorbed by water, plastics and solvents. Hence, these are very effective for print drying, water drying and plastic processing applications. The quick reaction times eliminates the disadvantages of normal medium wave lamps which are slow to react.
