Bacticlean / Germicidal Lamps

Bacticlean as the name suggests is useful for removing airborne bacteria and viruses. It is very effective in getting rid of MRSA, swine flu, bird flu and common cold viruses.

How it works: It uses UV radiation to disinfect air. The unit contains UV lamps and air is passed at a controlled rate over these UV lamps. The micro organisms in the air are exposed to lethal doses of UV-C. The nuclear mass of the cells of the micro organisms is damaged due to photolytic processes to an extent that precludes cell division and multiplication.

Bacticlean is therefore extremely effective in inactivating air borne bacteria, viruses and yeasts. It also helps in getting rid of airborne pollen cells that cause hay fever.

The lamps emit UV light( 253.7nm) because they contain low pressure mercury vapours. The glass tube used provides the ideal transmission qualities at the correct wavelength for maximum disinfection.

We offer a range of UV emitters for disinfection purposes in hospitals, offices, schools, hotels and food processing plants.

These units are available with 36W single UV lamp and 72W twin UV lamp.

A single unit will cover about 95 cubic metres. Each bacticlean measures approximately 150mm (D) x 390mm (H) x 460mm (W).  

We offer spare UV lamps also for germicidal purpose. These lamps are single ended (with standard G5 or G13 base) and double ended (with standard 2G11 or G23 base). The working life of these lamps is approximately 8000 hours.
